1. Rams - *Jimmy Clausen - QB - Notre Dame
The Rams are accumulating less than 200 passing yards per game. While WR injuries have plagued them, Marc Bulger's time has come and gone. Clausen has been tested as much as any QB in the nation this year and has looked great in each trial.
2. Buccaneers - Ndamukong Suh - DT - Nebraska
The Bucs's D-Line is old and simply not performing. Since Suh is the nation's best D-Lineman if not the best player in the nation, this pick should be a slam dunk.
3. Browns - *Eric Berry - S - Tennessee
I've seen a ton of Mocks that have the Browns taking a QB here, and I can understand why. However, I personally think it's too early to call it quits on Quinn. With all of the changes going on in Cleveland, it's not like the kid's really had a chance to get set. Berry is a complete Safety that plays the run and pass equally well.
4. Lions - *Gerald McCoy - DT - Oklahoma
he Lions desperately need help at OT. Okung has looked very good this year and would be a major upgrade to their LT position. However, they need just as much help along their D-Line. McCoy is an elite talent that could really help this team out.
5. Chiefs - Russell Okung - OT - Oklahoma State
If the first four selections play out like this, it'll be a tough call for the Chiefs. They desperately need help at OT, as they're on pace to allow more than 50 Sacks this season. They could also grab the nation's best WR, Dez Bryant, who'll look real good when Todd Haley considers his depth at WR. After it's all said and done, I think Okung's their guy.
6. Redskins - *Jake Locker - QB - Washington
The Redskins have to go with a QB here, right? At this point, I think so. Bradford has a ton of upside and could develop into a fine signal caller. Since high tier QBs are hard to come by, they grab him here.
7. Bills - *Sam Bradford - QB - Oklahoma
The Bills need serious help against the run, so a stud DT would be a nice selection here. However, Suh and McCoy are the only Top 10 talents in the draft. The Bills will also need a ton of help at WR after T.O. departs. While Bryant only played 3 games in 2009, he looked good in those contests and was a man-child in 2008.
8. Raiders - Taylor Mays - S - USC
Al Davis loves physical specimens. While Mays' stock has deservingly dropped, he'll flash at the combine and make someone fall in love with him.
9. Seahawks - Charles Brown - OT - USC
The Seahawks need to replace Walter Jones. While opinions vary as to who the 2nd best OT in the draft is, Brown is a gifted athlete that looked better with each game.
10. Broncos (via Bears) - *Cameron Heyward - DE - Ohio State
If one of the Top 3 QBs is available, then I wouldn't be surprised if thay grabbed one here. However, I don't think one will fall to the Broncos. Instead, they grab a huge DE that would be a very nice fit for their 3-4 scheme.
11. 49ers (via Panthers) - *Everson Griffen - DE/OLB - USC
The 49ers have a couple of needs, one of them being a new rush LB. While Griffen has DE size, he has LB speed. Additionally, he has experience playing out of a 2-point stance. He'll grade out very well at the combine and fly up draft boards.
12. Jaguars - *Derrick Morgan - DE - Georgia Tech
The Jags' Defense is 23rd in the league against the pass, and a big reason they are is because they have no pressure coming from their D-Line. I believe that Morgan is the most complete DE in the draft, and addresses a serious need.
13. 49ers - Trent Williams - OT - Oklahoma
The 49ers need an upgrade at RT. While Williams had some struggles this past season at LT, he was stellar at RT in 2008 and fills a need.
14. Falcons - *Joe Haden - CB - Florida
Haden has proven that he's the best CB in the draft. Atlanta is statistically one of the worst teams in the league against the pass, so the pick fits.
15. Texans - *Carlos Dunlap - DE - Florida
Dunlap's stock drops some after his DUI, but he has still flashed Round 1 potential. The Texans need help opposite of Super Mario, so they get another feak of an athlete here.
16. Dolphins - *Dez Bryant - WR - Oklahoma State
The Dolphins do need a #1 WR, so there are a few prospects that may get some looks here. However, after watching the Bills game in week 12, it was obvious that the Phins need more talent within their LB corps. Their containment was awful and they couldn't cover to save their lives. McClain can play at any LB spot in a 3-4.
17. Titans - *Brian Price - DT - UCLA
The Titans are solid against the run, but horrible against the pass. One reason is because they're not creating enough pressure on opposing QBs. Price is an amazing DT that excels at getting upfield and disrupting passing lanes.
18. Packers - *Anthony Davis - OT - Rutgers
While I understand that the Packers' O-Line has had their share of injuries, they simply have to get more talent in the pass protection realm. Rodgers does have to learn when to get rid of the ball, but a franchise OT would be ideal here.
19. Cowboys - Mike Iupati - OG/OT - Idaho
Flozell Adams is 34 years old and might be shown the door. After all the bad sportsmanship he's shown and crap he's pulled as of late, things aren't on his side. While Iupati played OG in college, he has the size, strength and feet to slide over to OT. If not, he's still the nation's best OG.
20. Jets - Corey Wooton - DE - Northwestern
The Jets could use more help at WR, but there may be more of a concern around getting some help at DE for there 3-4. Since players like Wooton don't come around real often, they go in that direction.
21. Ravens - Rolando McClain - LB - Alabama
Ray Lewis is a stud, but the guy is 34 years old and this team will have to think about replacing him with a proven leader sooner vs. later.
22. Patriots - C.J. Spiller - RB - Clemson
The Patriots have a ton of RBs on their roster, but there are question marks that surround many of them. Spiller is the nation's most dynamic RB and would pair with Maroney quite well.
23. Steelers - Dan Williams - NT/DT - Tennessee
32 year old Casey Hampton may be gone after this season, and the Steelers don't have much backing him up even if he stays. Williams has had a stellar season and might be the nation's best pure NT.
24. Seahawks (via Broncos) - Tim Tebow - QB - Florida
The Seahawks will most likely look to draft a QB at some point of the draft. With Tebow falling to them here, they grab him.
25. Giants - Terrence Cody - NT - Alabama
Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins are both set to hit free agency after this season. While Cody is a pure NT and a better fit for a true 3-4 team, he's a huge run stuffer that frees up other D-Lineman.
26. Cardinals - Greg Hardy - DE/OLB - Ole Miss
The Cardinals' pass Defense is struggling because their front seven can't get consistent pressure on the QB. While Hardy comes with some health and character issue, he has the athletic ability to convert into the 3-4 OLB the Cards' need.
27. Bengals - *Earl Thomas - S - Texas
I don't think the Bengals have anyone within their Safety pool that has as much upside as Earl Thomas does. After what's been a terrific season for him, he very well might not even drop this far.
28. Eagles - *Bryan Bulaga - OT - Iowa
After giving up 6 Sacks to the Raiders in Week 6, an O-Lineman is very tempting here. Bulaga was hampered with some health issues at the onset of the year, but he finished the year well enough to get drafted somewhere in Round 1.
29. Chargers - *Jonathon Dwyer - RB - Georgia Tech
Tomlinson has supposedly lost a step while Sproles isn't the future replacement at RB. Dwer has looked like a complete RB this season and could make serious waves in San Diego.
30. Vikings - Colty McCoy - QB - Texas
Brett Favre has played better than anyone expected this year, but we also know that he won't be around forever. While McCoy has struggled at times, let's not overlook his resume as a whole.
31. Colts - Jared Odrick - DT - Penn State
The Colts' run Defense is improved, but they could still stand to add some talent along their D-Line. Odrick has gotten better every week and looks like a legit DT.
32. Saints - Sean Weatherspoon - LB - Missouri
One could argue that the Saints could be stronger within their LB corps. Weatherspoon was one of the nation's leading tacklers, showing that he could be an asset to some team in that department.
1. Buccaneers - *Golden Tate - WR - Notre Dame
The Bucs have to address the WR position sooner vs. later. Tate's performance was exceptional this past year and he looks poised to make the jump.
2. Rams - Brandon Graham - DE/OLB - Michigan
Leonard Little has played quite well this season, especially for his age. However, it is his age that forces the Rams to think down the road towards replacing him. Graham is under-sized, but the kid flat out produces.
3. Lions - *Bruce Campbell - OT - Maryland
The Lions need to shore up their LT spot for the future. While raw, Campbell's got loads of talent and can be developed.
4. Browns - *Jevan Snead - QB - Ole Miss
While I do have the Browns passing on a QB in Round 1, I don't think they can afford to do so here if Snead drops. While Snead had a shaky start to his season, he has all the tools to develop into a solid QB.
5. Chiefs - Jermaine Gresham - TE - Oklahoma
The Chiefs need receiving targets. Gresham is still the nation's best TE and helps fill a huge void at said position.
6. Raiders - Brandon Spikes - LB - Florida
The Raiders need a ton of help against the run. I could see Spikes falling just like some of the better ILBs have done in the more recent drafts. Additionally, the Raiders have two LBs set to hit free agency.
7. Redskins - Jason Fox - OT - Miami
Chris Samuels career is close to over, and the Redskins really need better talent at OT. Jason Fox has looked pretty darn good this year and could sneek up the draft boards.
8. Bills - *Marvin Austin - DT - North Carolina
The Bills have been decimated against the run this year. They need interior D-Line help as much as any team in the NFL right now. Austin fits perfectly here.
9. Seahawks - Brandon Ghee - CB - Wake Forest
The Seahawks really value the CB position, as they should considering the conference they're in. Ghee has had a great Senior season and looks like he'll be a nice addition to a team's Secondary.
10. Panthers - Jerry Hughes - DE/OLB - TCU
Even if the Panthers can retain the services of Julius Peppers for one more season, they'll end up cutting ties with him sooner vs. later. Highes is a blur off the edge and would help fill an eventual need.
11. Buccaneers (via Bears) - Ricky Sapp- OLB/DE - Clemson
The Bucs traded away Gaines Adams, so it would be nice for them to get a DE at some point in the draft. While Sapp is small for a DE by most standards, he's crazy quick and could get bigger as he develops.
12. 49ers - Mardy Gilyard - WR - Cincinnati
Isaac Bruce and Arnaz Battle could easily get cut after this season, so WR depth will be sought after. Gilyard has amzing quickness and has proven that he has the skills to take over a game.
13. Falcons - Anthony McCoy - TE - USC
Tony Gonzales was a very good addition to this team, but the guy won't be around forever. McCoy has had a good enough year to get Round 2 looks, and would seemingly develop nicely for this team.
14. Texans - Anthony Dixon RB - Mississippi State
The Texans have Slaton, but they need another RB to compliment him. Dixon has the size and power to now give this team a formidable 1-2 punch.
15. Dolphins - Willie Young- OLB - North Carolina State
Young is a gifted pass rusher that's already accustomed to playing out of a 2-point stance. Considering where things stand with JT and Porter, this is a need pick. With Cameron Wake looking good on the left side, Miller fits in nicley on the right side of the Defense.
16. Patriots (Titans) - *Chad Jones - S - LSU
As good as this team is, their Secondary could be playing better. Jones is an excellent prospect that could play at either Safety position.
17. Patriots (via Jaguars) - Sergio Kindle - OLB/DE - Texas
Believe it or not, the Patriots are one of the lowest ranked teams in the league when it comes to Sack production. Kindle has the athletic ability to be converted into a steady 3-4 rush LB for them.
18. Cowboys - Arthur Jones - DT/DE - Syracuse
Jones is a great prospect in that he can play DT or DE. As the Cowboys change scheme around, Jones could be a constant for them.
19. Jets - *Damian Williams - WR - USC
The Jets didn't grab a WR in Round 1, so it would make sense for them to grab one here if there's a nice fit. Williams hails from USC, like Sanchez, and would be a good selection here.
20. Ravens - Patrick Robinson - CB - Florida State
Does a team ever have enough quality CBs? Robinson should post good numbers in Indy and may not even drop this far in the draft.
21. Patriots - *Arrelious Benn - WR - Illinois
Randy Moss won't be around forever, so they grab this gifted WR here in Benn to help fill some of the void they'll experience down the road.
22. Packers - Perrish Cox - CB - Oklahoma State
The Packers don't have a lot of young, quality depth floating around at CB, so they grab a cocky player like Cox to help fill some holes.
23. Giants - *Morgan Burnett - S - Georgia Tech
Burnett is a very good Safety and would provide some nice immediate depth to the Giants Secondary.
24. Steelers - Jon Asamoah - OG - Illinois
The Steelers O-Line has often left a lot to be desired. Asamoah is a nasty OG that plays with a true mean streak. He'd fit in with this team rather nicely.
25. Broncos - Syd'Quan Thompson - CB - California
Denver's Secondary is one of the oldest in the NFL. Thompson is a solid CB that provides some immediate depth for them.
26. Eagles - *Jahvid Best - RB - California
Westbrook is nearing the end of his career, so the Eagles will need someone to work hand-in-hand w/ LeSean McCoy.
27. Cardinals - Kyle Calloway - OT - Iowa
The Cardinals OTs, especially Mike Gandy, haven't looked good this year. While Bulaga gets all the press on the Hawkeye O-Line, Calloway is darn good himself.
28. Bengals - George Selvie - DE - South Florida
Selvie falls because he hasn't had quite the season foks expected, and is now drawing question marks as to whether he should stay at DE or move to a rush LB position. Selvie should be just fine at DE and would be a nice pick for the Bengals.
29. Chargers - Brandon LaFell - WR - LSU
The Chargers are set to lose some WRs in the off season, so they jump at the opportunity to get Gilyard. He's a talented WR that could really produce in the right system.
30. Vikings - Sean Lee - LB - Penn State
The Vikings really don't have many needs, so they grab a stud LB here that falls due to some question marks around his durability.
31. Colts - Daryl Washington - LB - TCU
The LB corps for the Colts is adequate, but it could certainly be stronger. Washington could play at any of the LB positions the Colts have.
32. Saints - Nate Allen - S - South Florida
Need or not, Nate Allen is a very good Safety and is a luxury pick for any team if they can land him at this point in the draft.
*The following trends are based on the past four NFL Drafts, 2006-2009.
Offensive Tackle - This is one of three positions where at least one player has been picked within the first ten selections of every draft.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 8 |

| Average | 1.75 | 3.75 | 2.5 | 6.25 |
Defensive End - This is one of three positions where at least one player has been picked within the first ten selections of every draft. In fact, a DE has been selected within the first 3 selections three of the past four years. Please note that these are typically true DE end picks vs. 3-4 rush LBs, which are denoted as OLBs.

| 2006 | 2 | 3 | 2 | 5 |
| Average | 1.50 | 2.5 | 2.0 | 4.5 |
Outside Linebacker - This combines 4-3 OLBs with 3-4 OLBs. With a number of teams converting from a 4-3 to a 3-4 Defense, OLBs should continue to be coveted.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 1 | 6 | 3 | 9 |
| 2008 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 3 |

| 2006 | 2 | 5 | 2 | 7 |
| Average | 1.25 | 4.25 | 2.0 | 6.25 |
Defensive Tackle - Over the past three Drafts, there hasn't been a lot of surprise when it's come down to the top DT selections. The top prospects were widely known and agreed upon.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 5 |
| 2008 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 3 |

| 2006 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 3 |
| Average | 1.0 | 2.25 | 1.5 | 3.75 |
Wide Receiver - While the past Drafts have shown us that a team will go after a stud WR within the first 10 selections (Calvin Johnson, Michael Crabtree), they have no problem waiting till later in Round 1 or even Round 2 to go after talent.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 2 | 6 | 2 | 8 |
| 2008 | 0 | 0 | 10 | 10 |

| 2006 | 0 | 1 | 4 | 5 |
| Average | 1.0 | 3.25 | 4.75 | 8.0 |
Cornerback - Past Drafts show that teams typically won't jump too early on a CB (first 10 picks), but will get pretty active from that point on.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 0 | 2 | 4 | 6 |
| 2008 | 0 | 5 | 5 | 10 |

| 2006 | 0 | 5 | 4 | 9 |
| Average | 0.0 | 3.75 | 4.0 | 7.75 |
Runningback - If there is a stand out, no doubt about it #1 prospect at RB, then a team will grab him very early. Where there is speculation, teams will generally wait for talent to fall
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 0 | 3 | 1 | 4 |

| Average | 0.75 | 3.5 | 2.0 | 5.5 |
Free Safety - 2007 was an anomoly of sorts, as this draft happened to have some prospects that timed real well in the 40 and flashed a lot of upside as a whole.
| Year | Top 10 Picks | Round 1 Picks | Round 2 Picks | Round 1-2 Picks |
| 2009 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 3 |

| 2006 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| Average | 0.25 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2.75 |
Inside Linebacker - ILBs don't get anywhere near the same amount of draw as OLBs do. It's seldom you see an ILB gone within the first Ten selections. Patrick Willis didn't go until the 11th pick in 2007, and most folks were shocked when New England used the 10th overall pick on Jerod Mayo, even though that selection has paid dividens.
